We bring together multiple sectors of society—including youth, women, security forces, municipal leaders, university officials, and religious leaders—to develop strategies to reduce communities’ vulnerability to radicalization and violence.

Building Community Resilience in Eastern Ethiopia (2019-2020)

Through a series of problem-solving and skill-building forums among community leaders, we are helping to encourage cross-sector dialogue and build resilience to violent extremism in three Eastern Ethiopian cities.  We are cooperating with multiple sectors of society—including youth, women, security forces, municipal leaders, university officials, and religious leaders—to address a recent surge in tensions, violence, and displacement and lay the foundation for bridging community divides in the lead-up to Ethiopia’s 2020 general election.
