Give to our fall appeal

Please help us meet our goal of raising $75,000 from our individual donor community before Dec. 31. Thank you!

Dear Friends,

We are seeing amazing creativity and resilience in a new generation of activists and peacebuilders, who are finding innovative ways to build the trust and common ground needed to face monumental global challenges.

These words from our Myanmar Project Manager (anonymous for safety) speak to the reality of working for peace during times of escalating conflict:

Under the military regime in Myanmar, peacebuilding work is risky.  At times, I feel guilty for acting secretly, for being active in only a small space when the needs are so huge, and for not doing more to help as the economy declines and even humanitarian workers are targets of the junta.

But I’m somehow relieved by implementing our project, because it is responding to the current needs, even if it is in a small space. We have been able to build trust in a climate of fear by working with heart and empathy.

It takes deep courage and determination to carry the torch of peace and justice through times of war, escalating threats, and conflicts compounded by climate impacts worldwide. We are honored and humbled to support our extremely brave peacebuilding partners.

To fully support our partnerships with frontline peacebuilders, our goal is to raise $75,000 from Karuna’s community of individual donors between now and December 31.

We hope you can join us by giving generously at a level that is possible for you!
